The Beng Mealea temple is a Hindu temple dated back to the 12th century. Located in Siem Reap, Beng Mealea is not far from the world-renowned Angkor Wat temple. The Beng Mealea was of strategic importance for the Khmer Rouge regime and even after the regime collapsed due to its cultural significance for Cambodia.
