By Ham Sovanpidor, Paundria Dwijastuti, Tann Kimchanveasna

This story is of a journey of a Khmer Rouge survivor to meet his savior in Anlong Veng in order to clear his doubts about the reasons for his fate. Soy Sen is a survivor of Kriang Ta Chan which was the first prison during that time. He was jailed in 1974 when he was 10 years old. With the help from a prison guard, Phann Chhen, Soy Sen was released from chains in 1975 and was forced to work at the prison until 1979. Phan Chhen told other prison guards not to kill Sen, an unforgettable gift to him. So Sen decides to go and meet Chhen to ask why he saved his life.
